Blood Donation Awareness
Blood Donation Awareness
In Afghanistan, thousands of lives are lost each year due to a simple shortage of blood.
Low literacy levels, fragile healthcare systems and widespread misconceptions about blood donation mean that patients who could be saved are often left without help . Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that prevents the body from producing enough healthy red blood cells
Without regular blood transfusions, patients, of which many are children, face severe anemia, organ damage and even death . The same blood shortages also affect women during childbirth and civilians injured by conflict
We at Human Relief Mission are changing this . What We Do Our Blood Donation Awareness & Thalassemia Initiative educates communities on the safety and importance of blood donation while building a reliable, lifesaving system that connects donors to patients in need
We: Raise awareness and break harmful myths around blood donation Screen and register donors by blood type Maintain a verified donor and patient database Coordinate emergency blood transfusions with hospitals Respond rapidly during crises This program ensures that when blood is needed, it is available quickly, safely and ethically . Why Your Donation Matters Blood donation saves lives immediately
